Don't you have to be 16 to work these days?
Answer 2 :
As a fellow teenager, I recommend that you check out swagbucks. You get paid to click websites, complete easy offers, take surveys, take daily polls, and even use their search engine. This site has helped me earn over $500.00 in the past year spending only a few minutes a day on their site. Use their search engine often when first starting out with this site, you can make A LOT of swagbucks off of their search engine. http://www.swagbucks.com/?cmd=sb-register&rb=2357955

I do not live there, but I was a teenager once. I looked for jobs at fast food places, went to catering services to work on weekends at various affairs, I offered to garden for older folks, I offered to babysit for young mothers, I offered to clean house for women who could use it. Offer to tutor young children in math or reading. I know how to sew so I went to fabric places and hobby places as Michael's and Jo Anne's to get a job as stock clerk or checker. Ask your school counselor who hires young people in your community. That is their job. There may be employment services for youths in your community. Check with your community Park and Recreation Department to see if there is summer work as raking or working the lunch counters. Maybe you can pass Red Cross Safety First Aide and CPR Courses to become a lifeguard - or for being a babysitter. Liability insurance and law suits have kept lots of young people out of the work force. Good luck!

Paper boy. It's easy cash and you're done early. Plus, some people give decent tips.

Any place that is hiring!
Answer 2 :
The best places to work in Columbus are government-related - those jobs are the most stable, have the best benefits, and the most flexible/reasonable work hours. Depending on your field, many government jobs pay nearly as much as private sector, and in some cases more. State jobs are listed at www.ohio.gov, but also check the Columbus Dispatch ads - not all non-civil-service jobs are on the state site. Also try Ohio State University and Columbus State Community College - they are both going through a lot of growth right now, and have lots of opportunities. Good luck
