About where would a convicted felon go to look or be able to find work in columbus ohio

Where would a convicted felon go to look or be able to find work in columbus ohio?
My boyfriend was recently released from prison a year ago and has moved to columbus ohio. He is a hard worker has an amazing work ethic and loves working overtime. The only problem is he is unable to find any places to give him a chance. Does anyone know of some factory's or anykind of jobs that would allow his background. His felony was for robbery so therefore he can not work where there will be money involved. Perhaps a factory job or some kind of outside work/construction. Please help me help him. Thank You!

I understand that is a real problem with convicted felons. Sorry, the only help I can give you is to break up with him, cause he's never never going to amount to a hill of beans!
Answer 2 :
Start going to temp agencies. Many places hire convicted felons. Millions of people have felony records. Also, Wal-Mart will hire just about anyone. Good luck.
Answer 3 :
Im going through the same problem 8 years after the fact. I have found out that it is possible to get the felony exponged through a lawyer but there are limits to which felonys can be exponged. The lowest price I have found was $720. You have to file in the state and county in which the felony occured. Employment agencies tend to run background checks "trust me I know" I know walmart will hire him. I have been sticking to retail jobs since most of them dont run background checks.
